NEW ALBUM: SEP 2021 Message in a Bottle - Ingrid Henderson

The undeniably romantic notion of casting a message into the ocean and allowing fate to guide the journey and final destination, formed the catalyst for this audio-visual piece created by harpist Ingrid Henderson for NatureScot’s Year of Coast and Waters commission.

Through newly crafted music & song, ‘Message in a Bottle’ explores themes of ocean currents, migration, coastal communities & environmental impact as well as celebrating Scotland's incredible marine life and coastline. Joining Ingrid on the voyage stalwarts from the Scottish music scene: Anna Massie (guitar/ fiddle) Megan Henderson (fiddle, vocals & piano) & Conal McDonagh (Irish pipes/ whistle) & Somhairle MacDonald on visuals.

Cockerel in the Creel - Iain MacFarlane & Ingrid Henderson

Combining years of experience playing with bands such as Blazin' Fiddles and Cliar, multi-instrumentalists, and stalwarts of the traditional music world, Iain MacFarlane & Ingrid Henderson create a sound which is reflective of the stunning, culture-rich Lochaber area they grew up in. Based mainly on harp and fiddle, and mixing traditional and newly written material, they combine rousing marches, jigs and reels with poignant slow airs of love and loss, giving the listener a unique insight into the rich culture of the West Highlands.

Iain Macdonald & Iain MacFarlane - The First Harvest -

"From Glenuig and Glenfinnan, these guys have taken their pipes, whistles, flute, fiddle, and big-hearted musicianship round the world in bands like Ossian, Battlefield, Blazin' Fiddles and Boys of the Lough, but here they've crafted a jewel of a recording that stays at home in the traditions of Moidart. With a rake of friends - including Gaelic singer Kathleen MacInnes, Ross Martin, Phil Cunningham, Allan and Ingrid Henderson - beautiful tunes and impeccable playing, they've created one of the finest albums to come out of Scotland in the last decade"   Norman Chalmers, Scotland on Sunday
